The Aston Martin company has demonstrated an open modification of its hardcore coupe Vantage GT12, which received the convertible top. However, fans of the company's expected serial production of the Roadster is not necessary: it is built in a single copy.
In division "Q by Aston Martin", which deals with the implementation of individual projects on the orders of the special clients of the company, to build a roadster took 9 months. The company's management attaches particular importance to this project - it is the first full-scale construction project of a sports car for a particular client, made a special unit. Previously, it was engaged for the most part more or less individualization of production models.
Roadster was unique suspension tuning, targeted for use on the race track, and the power unit inherited the coupe Vantage GT12. It is equipped with a conventional six-liter 12-cylinder aspirated, but the engine output due to magnesium intake manifold with variable geometry, exhaust system and an alternative to some other completions increased from 573 to 600 hp The amount of torque is 625 Nm. Works engine mated to a seven-step robot.
The dynamic characteristics of the Roadster are not called, but the coupe is capable to type 100 km / h in 3.7 seconds. Maximum speed Aston Martin Vantage V12 is 297 km / h.
The project cost is also not disclosed. Aston Martin bosses are hoping that the extreme roadster will serve as a hallmark of the special unit "Q by Aston Martin", and it will be able to realize many more full-scale individual projects.
